No Bible Study...

...again! We have missed Bible Study 3 weeks in a row now due to work schedules of both parties. Last week I was feeling blah. I think I was fighting a bladder infection but seem to be doing alot better now. I was really praying that I didn't have the swine flu - but couldn't remember eating any bacon... LOL! On the serious note, I have several friends that have had the swine flu or their family members. Steve's sister is getting over it now. I heard that everyone getting the flu now will most likely have the swine flu. Plus, if you do get the swine flu now - you will probably just have a mild case of it. I really hope this has just about run it's coarse! I can't imagine being sick for a week... I think I would go stir crazy!

What a Beautiful Day...

...after all that rain yesterday! I think it rained 2-3" here. There was standing water in the yards & water on the roads. It was running everywhere as fast as it could but seemed like it was all going no where. Poor Steve worked in the rain all day & was soaked a couple of times. He said at one point he was really cold from the rain. Well, the cold front did blow in with the rain. I love the cold weather... it reminds me of snowmen, my favorite thing!

Big Gulp...

Yesterday I stopped to get a BIG iced drink on the way to Austin. I was reminded of Big Gulps from 7-Eleven when I was a teenager. They used to be 49, then 59 cents. It was a treat to get to go get a Big Gulp. I vividly remember going to 7-Eleven when Hurricane Alicia hit in about 1983 or 84 and we did not have power for several days. We would get to ride in the a/c to the store & then get our Big Gulp. Awe - it was soothing! For those of you who have lived in the Houston area, you know that a/c is a necessity because you need it about 10-12 months out of the year!

Now you can hardly find a 7-Eleven. I know there are just a few left in Austin and one in Smithville & Temple that we stop at now & then. After 7-Eleven went by the way, it was Stop N Go... I remember my childhood friend, Rhonda & I going to get a big iced drink there after we were grown. It was only about 89 cents at the time. Now try to buy an iced drink for less than a $ - it's rare but they are out there still. =D

Half-Year Statements..

We send out royalty checks to the song writers twice a year at the Music Company. This week was the week that they go out (9/30). We worked hard & nonstop getting out the statements & checks. I worked all day on the 30th & did not go to the plant to get most of the work done. Even though it is alot of stress, we have fun getting it done (well I stay focused to finish). I think my boss was SO excited when I left today b/c all the statements were out, even the no money ones. It was great for my hours!

My Mistakes...
