Days Off...

I've been off work since Thursday afternoon. Swiftex is gone to the Dallas Market at this time, so the plant is closed. I have reorganized the spare bedroom & gone through just a few boxes to sort out the items. A - the lazy trash men are not going to like me, B - I have another pile to burn. I finally got the bed moved in there tonight. I still have to put sheets on it & hang the valances. Then I will start putting things on the walls, but 1st I will have to minimize the boxes in the room. I can't believe how many boxes were in there. It's getting there... but slowly after a year & a 1/2!

Can't Get Act Together...

Sometimes in life it feels like you just have to start from scratch!
After much delay, I did make it to work & then hear that Grand-dad hasn't been doing good the past 2 days. Please pray for my bosses to have patience & understanding with him... he's 94.
Later...
Church was really good tonight! I wish I would have wrote down the last statement he made.

Where in the World have YOU been?...

I finally got my computer back... after being there 2 weeks. I still have my 2 arms & 2 legs attached! It is running SO much faster & better now. I am glad to be up & running again & not having to go to the smoky internet cafe' (next door!). My dad smokes too much & it kills my chest at times. I enjoy being with my mom but the smoke is annoying! Please read the posts for the last 2 weeks because I have updated them.

Happy Birthday...

to me! Yes, it's my birthday & I am 29 - AGAIN! Please don't ask my age today because I was feeling it this AM. I can't believe I'm over the hill!!! What happened to the time?!

My mom & dad both are feeling bad so we did not go out to celebrate yet. Please keep them in your prayers!

I did have a good birthday! My bosses sang Happy Birthday to me, she made a nice lunch & oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (my favorite!). I had many birthday wishes on Facebook, a nice dinner with a friend & homemade peanut butter cookies from scratch.

This year is a new beginning, new things & new friends!
God is great & doing a great work... Thank you everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes!

Texas Ablaze...

Day started at 7 AM in the car...
After starting the day with 9* on the car thermometer (it warmed to about 12-16* by the time I got to Austin), I'm warming up w-great people @ Texas Ablaze! It was a great training class for church. I saw 2 of my school friends. One I graduated with & he is now a preacher/pastor of a church in Katy. It was a great day with plenty of information & lots of fellowship with good people.
Later...
My water thawed out while I was gone & thank God, I have NO broken pipes!

No Water...

I woke up & have no water. Thank goodness for bottled water & a microwave. I can heat the water & wash my face & brush my teeth!
Later...
I still have no water so I went to mom & dad's to take a shower. Now that brought back memories of showering in my old shower! It wasn't the same though. I think I have been through way too much in such a short time... God has a plan, I gotta hang on!

My Heart Aches...

Please pray for my school friend, Dana & her family...
This was my best friend in High School, along with her cousin, Cindy ~
Please pray for my friend, Dana Bean-Collier. Her husband passed away yesterday around 2pm. Please keep the family in your thoughts. They were married for 20 years. Eddie was just 42. They have a son that is 10 and their daughter is 17. So sad and heartbreaking! He loved Dana and their children so much. (Thanks Cindy for posting!)

Happy New Year...

Leave the past behind & move on to the new. I went to church last night & it was SO good. We had an awesome service for New Year's Eve. I'm ready to move on & leave the hurt & pain in the past!

Love this Song...
don't you give up now, the sun will soon be shining... I've seen miracles just happen, silent prayers get answered... That's what FAITH can do!

My Mistakes...
