McJob...

Matt got the job at McDonald's ~ whoo hoo! It's a relief & about 10 mins from home. It was really an answer to prayer. He still has his side job so he will be able to make a little extra money here & there.

Wow ~ Where Have I Been?!

Ok, so here's the short of it... working & looking for another job! The whole issue with my house is pretty much dead in the water... our attorney stomped a mudd hole in their attorney.

I went for a 2nd interview at the school today... if I'm selected, I won't find out until mid-late next week. I will then hear from HR & get sent for finger prints, etc. It could turn out to be more hours, which is totally what I need to get away from the furniture plant! We went a week with NO toilet paper at the plant... disgusting, huh?! I didn't say anything --- didn't want to seem like I was griping. I just stuffed 'to go' napkins in my purse & pockets for when I needed to go. I think I've sweated more at work lately than the whole time I've worked there! It's been very humid, raining & still quite warm but they have the doors wide open with no a/c. The workers are hot in the plant & it's literally been like a sweat shop in there lately.

Matt is still looking for a job & may have a job at a fast food joint close to home... then he will be my McBoyfriend! :) At this point, any job is better than nothing around here! He has only been able to find odd jobs here & there for cash money. For some reason jobs are really hard to obtain right now... but they say our economy is on the up?! Ok, I didn't think so either.

I did file for 'reduced hours' unemployment... it's not much but since they cut my hours a 2nd time, I will receive a few $'s. (Yes, this added fuel to the fire I was already dealing with at work.) With unemployment, you only receive 40% of what you were making... big help huh?! Yeah, I know - it's better than nothing.
